LS1 Coil Per Cylinder Conversion To LT1 HELP!!!
I have bought the LS1 coils including the brackets and I wanted to know what is all need to complete this conversion. I know that it will be similar to the delphi system by not using the opti but only for the signal to fire the coils but how would I wire this thing up? What wiring harness would I need etc? Anyone who has done this please help and post pictures if you could. I am very interested and I think it would help my 388 ci LT1 dramatically. Thank you!

I have the LTCC kit which comes with the "box" and wiring harness. That would be all you need other than finding a way to mount your coils and plug wires.

Okay so you mean I have to pay for the full LTCC in order to get the box and wiring, cant i just get them separate? I can mount the coils. Thank you for information.

You can't just hook up 8 LS1-style coils without an interface, and the LTCC "box" is the interface. Without the box (or an equivalent interface), its not going to work. I've made them work without the LTCC box, but it took an aftermarket ECU that costs about 10X what the LTCC costs.

it depends on what you want really. money wise it's cheaper for the delteq. it comes with coils, wires and the box. but, you still have to make the mounts. there are only 4 coils though...this is the drawback. it's a wasted spark system where the discharge actually charges the coil. so you'll get a + to - then a - to + on the next fire. some say it's bad for the plug to fire backwards and others say it's fine...there have been no problems with fouled plugs on either the delteq or any other wasted spark setup like mitsu's eclipse.
i'd rather have 8 coils though...each has 8x the time to charge than the factory coil (lt1) and each is more powerful than the factory coil. so...you pay 400 for the brain, 275+ for the coils, fab some kind of mounting bracket for the coils and be done with it. or, you pay 500 for the delteq, fab some brackets and be done with it...

Actually the coils only costed me $35 for them all and brackets from a guy parting out so it's not too expensive. Delteq with the 4 coils isnt all that great and is more expensive. Wish I could find a used LTCC
