With all the LSX swaps lately you would think this is posted somewhere, maybe not. But yea, it can be done, it's going to take alot of work, but not hard work, just time. Probably need an LSX K member and all that jazz too.

Well that depends how much you can get the LSX motor for, if it's an Fbody one or if youll need a different intake [if its a truck motor], obviously the wiring and PCM, plus if your using a stock K member vs a $500 aftermarket one, etc. I'm sure folks who have done it can chime in and give you some tips and info.

ls1 k-member,
ls1 rack and pinion and ps pump
ls1 gas tank, and fuel pump
something about the lines, and the gauge not working either
the harness, some dash stuff might not work (i cant remember)
some other stuff too.

i personally dont think its too bad, but i swapped many many motors. but it is a difficult task.

check over at ls1tech.com in the hybrids and conversions forum. and do a search

good luck

aaron

edit..
also need an fbody/vette intake or aftermarket, fbody oil pan, fbody accessories.
you can find all this stuff used on these forums.

You do not need a new gas tank. Just have to change the regulator setup.

I have had a few friends swap over to an LSX type motor. It cost them ALOT of money. If you are serious about swapping, look into selling your car and just buying an F-body with an LS1 already in it. Saves a lot of head aches, unless you are very attached to your car.
