lt-1 balancing

is the lt-1 internally or externally balanced motor

I believe it is internal, but I can't be sure.

actually, its both

at the front it is internal, and the flywheel end, it is external(due to the one piece rear main, it is missing the needed counter wieght behind the rear main cap, so, they put it on the flywheel)

Ahhh, see...I knew I heard it was internal somewheres. I think that is why my engine builder told me to skip the fluidampr harmonic balancer. Said it was big time overkill for this type of motor.

Internal v. external balance has nothing to do with deciding what type of harmonic damper to use.
