LT-1 intake leak problems

I did a head gasket job in my 96 Z and when installing the intake, I used the wrong sealant for the front and rear runners on the intake, now I've got oil coming out. My question is, will leaking here impact engine performance? I'm gonna redo the intake in the next week or two, justwondered whether a vacuum leak was possible out of here. Just seems like the car isn't running right. No engine light, I replaced the bad CAT the blown headgasket caused, it isn't missing, just seems a little off. I wonder whether the intake could be the cause.

Re: LT-1 intake leak problems

Try scanning it. More than likely you also killed an O2 sensor. I had exactly the same problem - blew a head gasket, killed the cat and the left side O2 sensor.
