Wow, that's kind of expensive to buy them that way.
Why not wait and buy them all at once to save on shipping?

Had to break the payments in half so it looked better to the old lady. She don't know I need the other 4 yet, LOL.

How long is the sale going to run? I need some but I'm not sure what size to get. I still haven't made up my mind to get the LE2 or LE3 head/cam package.

Re: LT1 32 lb/hr Upgrade Injectors

I looked at the website and noticed that the 42#s are the same price as the 37#s. I don't expect I would ever need the 42's unless I transformed my car into a top fuel dragster, but would there be any advantage in 42's for a 380-430 rwhp car?

That depends on your motors BSFC and max RPM. 42's are not oversized and are just as manageable as 37's.

Re: LT1 32 lb/hr Upgrade Injectors

When you say 37lb. injector for 450hp,is that flywheel or rear wheel? What injector for 420-30fwhp/350-60rwhp?

Thanks

T.

RC has a good injector calculator on their web page here:
http://www.rceng.com/technical.htm

Factor in a 15-20% drivetrain loss, and max DC of 0.80

When I subtract 15% drivetrain loss before from 420fwhp(read crank) gives me 357 rwhp and the calc. says 28lb. injectors.
bsfc .5
duty .8
pressure 43.5psi

The calc says to add in crank hp or BHP? Isnt that the actual motor hp,which in my case 420crank hp.
Then the calc. gives me 33lb injectors

Which is right?

Unless I am completely clueless it seems the calculator wants the crank/bhp with NO drivetrain loss subtracted from the crank hp before for the calculation??

Also, Is there any things one can do to a motor that can change the BSFC requirments?
I used .50 The motor has ported/polished heads slightly higher compression??

Thanks,
T.

The calculator is for FWHP.
The FWHP # does not factor in parasitic losses on the motor for such things as water pump, alternator etc. in order to net the FWHP #.
Other things which have to be factored in are the AE / async fueling as well as temperature trims for coolant and air which can add as much as 15-20% to compensate / protect a heat soaked or ultra cold motor.
Wetting of the intake tract nets some fuel loss. Heated / aerated fuel.
Fuel pressure dips etc.

Nice! But better wait till I get my stock heads/intake/throttle body ported before I put bigger ones.
