LT1 = Cast Iron Block, Aluminum Heads (on F-bodies & Corvettes)

LS1 = Aluminum everything.

True, but they're not LT1s... they're L98s...

The LT1s in the Camaros, Firebirds, and Corvettes came with aluminum heads. The LT1s in Caprices and Impalas came with cast iron heads. All had cast iron blocks and aluminum intakes.

I know, but the original question was about LT1s and your post, while accurate, left room to assume that 3rd gen. F-bodys came with LT1s also.

Only ~650 horsepower in a ~2,700 lb. car, but who's counting?

That is, unless I buy Mark's 1,000+ horsepower supercharged 421...
