lt1 cold issue

Re: lt1 cold issue
Thats about right. They are supposed to constantly flucuate between 100-900mV while driving.
Under wide open throttle, they should stick up in the higher mV range like 800+ as the car goes into fuel enrichment mode where it richens the mixture out at full throttle.

Re: lt1 cold issue
well the fuel pump seems to be the issue. what would cause the fuse to get so hot that is melts the fuse, dont blow it melts it. i changed the relay and still, could it be the pump?????? or is there anything else that would cause that, and also the tranny took a crap again so its out to get relooked at by my tranny guy

Re: lt1 cold issue
If there is a short in the wiring, or the pump, it could draw too much current through the circuit which should blow or melt the fuse. Try and get some wiring diagrams for the fuel pump and start tracing the lines back. When the actual pump goes bad, I wouldnt think that it would literally melt fuses like that. Maybe blow one or two from inconsistant current draw but not like that ...
