LT1 engine parts question

I was wondering if any LS1 parts can be put on the LT1 and if it was worth doing or just better to stay with LT1 parts the main part I was wondering about was the intake manifold and if it is worth it or better just to leave the LT intake manifold and just a cold air intake and a throttle body spacer

Re: LT1 engine parts question

There are basically no interchangeable engine parts between the LT1 and LS1. The only component I've heard that can be interchanged are the lifters. For your intake, I would add a cold air kit only and call it good.

A throttle body spacer doesn't serve much purpose either.

...not to mention, there is no room for one. The intake is plenty good.

Here's a link to some dyno tests on popular LT1 mod's - site dates back 15 years, but it's still one of the best out there for starter mod's:

Re: LT1 engine parts question

Just be ware there are a LOT of junk parts designed to take your money rather than add performance. For a normal LT1 a throttle body spacer falls in that catagory, as do ignition upgrades, aftermarket MAFs, anything that tricks the pcm.

Ask specific questions or do searches here and find out what those of us experienced and successful have to say.

A bunch of us have been at this awhile and are happy to help. We can't be of much help to those who order bad parts and then come and ask us what to expect from them though, and that happens very often.
