LT1 header questions
Hello all. I have a couple of question and I would like to get them cleared up before I buy headers. I wanna go with long tubes and preferably stainless. Is there still any affordable stainless long tubes with A.I.R and EGR hookups? If I decide to get headers with the hook ups and then decide to get rid of the A.I.R and EGR system is there a way to block off the connections on the headers? I know about the block off plates for the engine but what about the headers themselves? Thanks again guys for any input!

Re: LT1 header questions
The PaceSetters are available with AIR/EGR. Mild steel, but available with cera-metallic coating.
Pacesetter Long Tube LT1 Headers, 96-97 w/Emissions
Interesting that they say "emissions" but I don't see any evidence in the photo.
If you buy a 3-piece EGR blockoff plate set, one of the plates is for the connection on the header #8 primary. AIR can be blocked but the specifics will be determined by what type of connection they provide on the headers... internal or external threads, requiring a plug or a cap. Not all header AIR connections match factory. Some require adapters.

Here's a better picture from Summit. It looks like they have the A.I.R. ports and the EGR exhaust tube.

Re: LT1 header questions
Yeah stainless you'll be paying more. Stainless Works has a good set, so does Kooks.
I used to think Pace Setter's were cheap but that was several years ago. Now that I have a Z28 I'm seeing a lot of guys using them. Searching on the net I see you can get them from plain to coated. When I do go LT headers I won't rule them out by any means.
