You bet you can make more power, even on a stock engine with the right cam, but then you also get all of the negatives. With all the right bolt-ons you not only make more power but you don't have to live with cam surge, poor fuel economy, etc. I would at least put on a cat-back exhaust and CAI before thinking about a cam however, and headers are VERY recommended as well. The biggest reason I suggest this is to not only get maximum power from a cam but also to start off simple and learn a few things before diving into trouble
