I would look away from the HOTcam and at one of the XE Grinds. XE 218/224 is a nice SMALL cam, if thats what you want.
how would it differ?

i havnt driven in his benz but it looks quite comfortable? are you thinking there will be more power or an uncomfortable ride...

i mean wouldnt it drive like my camaro now just a lot more power?

couldnt i still drive w/o pushing it?

I mean it'll have a rough idle most likely and probably a bit of cam surge.

w/ a good tune you have alot of cam options to go w/, tune is everything..and they'll all be just as streetable..No need to settle for a mild cam like the LT4

Everyone loves a rough idle, there's nothing quite like a small block chevy going pitter patter. As far as cam surge goes, a good stall converter should aleviate that. The only thing you really have to look out for with a bigger cam is making sure that you have enough vacuum to operate little things such as the brakes. I'd say to go bigger than the LT4 cause you'll want a bigger cam within 6 months anyway. I know alot of people go with the 230/236 from Comp.

I agree with antz as well, tune is everything.

I personally would love my car to lope, but to a guy comparing it to a Benz, I have to give him the straight up truth. A 12.0 second Benz is going to drive like a luxury car. A 12.0 second LT1 is not.

you cant begin to compare a 12 sec benz to a 12 sec camaro.
first off the benz will not have ANY charactoristics of a 12 sec car (as a camaro owner knows it) untill the gas is pressed far. another idea to start off with is that you should concider the price difference of and AMG and a LT1
