Lt1 no start help me!!?!?

Hi guys I am new on this forum I been on ls1 tech for a while and we can't get my issue resolved somone suggested trying over here. Her goes car is a 95 formula with a 94 Pontiac lt1. Basically all stock except cold air kit. I have a no start condition. So far I have replaced injectors, fuel pump, fuel tank, fuel filters, opti, plugs wires and coil are fairly new I changed those before the no start. I had some crud in the fuel tank that got to the injectors and trashed them. 5 were stuck open the other 3 wouldn't do anything. I replaced them with accel 24lb/hr ones.
Car won't do anything but crank and crank and won't catch itself. I tried ether nothing.
Popped injectors out and they are firing.
Seems like when I have the injectors out it will kinda try and start.
Took plugs out and cleaned them off since it was flooding (Ngk tr55)
I have tried everything I am almost ready to light the car on fire I am hoping someone here can help me out I miss my t/a

Also I checked for spark with an autozone tester and am getting a nice snappy blue spark that will jump 3/4 to an inch
And injectors are also firing that's what's driving me nuts should start it really tries but just won't catch
Also I am getting some exhaust smoke up thru the intake side and in the valve cover( it will come out the pcv valve

Not sure what wouldn't work but check the ignition fuse

The 94 lt1 motor you put in has the spline drive opti(unless you changed it to the vented pin drive). You said you have replaced it. Did you properly index the opti? From what your saying with exhaust smoke coming in the intake, sounds like its 180* out.

Also I would look at getting another set of injectors. They may be working now, but sooner rather than later then will be shot. Everything accel makes is junk, IMO. Personally Ive been through so many distributors, coils, and plug wires(not on my vehicle), I will never use there parts again.

Checked all fuses. Even swapped a few that looked okay just incase. Namely both injector fuses and both ign fuses.
And yes it does have the splines opti there is a spot where it has two of the splines welded together so it should only go in one way. But I guess I am gonna try a compression test shortly and then pull everything back apart and make sure when no1 is tdc I am pointing at the no1 on the rotor
Other than that I have been thru literally everything u can think of

Have you scanned if for codes? Have you checked the fuel pressure?

I checked fuel pressure was one of the first things I had about 42 but bled down quickly. Someone said about check valve in the pump so I swapped it out and then noticed the injectors were shot. So I changed those and the tank since there was a lot of rust/moisture in it. Also fuel filters and cleaned out the rails there was what kinda resembled metal shavings or something in the rails. It will crumble if you try and smash it so I'm not sure what exactly it was but I got it all out, along with cleaning the lines by blowing compressed air in. Autozones fuel pressure tester is 150$. Really don't think it's fuel related cuz if I spray ether in it doesn't do anything either

Also on the codes I have a cable and tunerpro rt and no codes except for air pump but there is no fuse in for that there never was since I had it. Other than that timing says about 14 when cranking. O2s are getting signals. Tps is at.54 I think when closed and goes up as pedal is pressed. Basically everything seems normal. Pretty much where it was before the no start

But you pulled the fuel rails up and verified that the injectors are firing?

Not sure why you would pay $150 deposit for a fuel pressure gauge when you can buy one for less than $30. Some tools are critical if you plan to stick with this engine for any length of time.

Put a fuse in the AIR pump circuit and the code will go away. If it blows when you replace it, disconnect the AIR pump, then replace the fuse.

I had the rails up and verified all are firing. I actually ran up harbor freight to get the comp tester they have a fuel pressure tester for about 25$. Figured tho since I already determined I have fuel spraying into the cylinders I would be better off checking compression first

I had same problem with my 94 lt1 so I went out and bought a new opt car still wouldn't start. went out and got a another opt and car started right up.

not sure if i said it in this colum or the one on ls1tech, I got a piece of crap opti(supposedly I dunno looked just like the one I took off.) From Ebay from KJM performance. For ****s and giggles i just stuck an old timing light on it to see how regular spark was. I get two really quick flashes from the coil on its wire feeding the opti. I checked on No.1 and it seems like the motor spins at least 5-6 full turns on the harmonic balancer b4 I get a flash from the distributor. I went to No.3 and it was way way closer on the spin cycle when I would get A blink from my light. My battery is almost dead tho from 3wks now of cranking and cranking so I realy only could try this for a min or two till it was pretty much dead dead. So tommorrow morning after the batt. charges good tonight I'll try b4 I head to work. Maybe the opti is junk.

Also when I pulled the old opti off what had happened was the rotor come off due to me being in a hurry and I didn't locktite the rotor on. So Maybe my other opti may still be good and I can send this one back and use my other in the meantime while I save for a dynaspark or msd.

Maybe the injectors were going bad but then the rotor fell off and I put the opti that doesn't work and I been chasing nothing the whole time!? I hope so I am out of ideas other than tearing the motor completely down.
Sound like It maybe opti related that I am having the motor spin that many times with no spark on that cyl.
-I'll check the rest or at least a few more tommorrow

No. I haven't done the icm. But if that was bad wouldn't I get no spark instead of what seems good off the coil, kinda deems like its after the opti. Should the motor spin that many times at least four full turn on the harmonic balancer between sparks on cyl no1

My batt didn't charge last night so I couldn't try again this morning. I also have the alternator off now I read if they are bad they can leak ac current and cause funny things to happen.

Where did you check for spark? If it was at the coil wire, pull a couple of spark plug wires and recheck. It's possible that you have a broken rotor...you should have a regular spark at each plug. That's why I suggested pulling a couple of wires.
