lt1 rebuild

around how much is it to get a lt1 rebuilt and is it hard to do it yourself with the right tools

The engine is pretty simple if you pick up a good book and find a good machine shop. The price can very a lot depending on the results you are looking for.

It's not bad. I would go with factory components if you are just looking for a rebuild. They lasted 100k+ miles for most people and took a beating.

If you are interested, I just took these out of my brand new GM shortblock.

Simple rebuild, have the block checked and honed along with new cam bearings installed from your local machine shop than ask them them about a full rebuild kit for it. Get your self a good torque wrench and if you want i can check at work tomorrow and get you any specs that you need just pm me.
