LT1 rebuild parts

re: LT1 rebuild parts
You should have an LT1...not an LS1, totally different engine. If you take the engine into a machine shop for the machining processes, they should be able to source a complete engine kit for you with all the right parts the first time.

But then it's hard to move it when you don't know if it's a typo, a misunderstanding or a swapped engine.
He came back at 9:20pm on 5/10, so he should have seen all the posts through MachinistOne's. But no response. Maybe he'll come back today and check the thread.

Sorry i was wrong. I was told when I bought my car it was a ls1 but I looked it up online and it told me how to tell. You guys are right it is a lt1. The guy I bought the car from was kida a jerk and really didnt tell me all the facts about the car. He wouldnt even admit that he had trashed the trany.

If you really do need a rebuild let us know where in the country you are and maybe someone local can recommend a good machine shop that you can get the parts and machining done at.

I got the trany rebuilt. what the engine dose is knocks when It's hot but if it is cold there is no knock I asked my grandfather who use to be a GM Master and he thinks it's a piston skirt that's out of size. Idk what do you think? Im in loveland co

Yeah, knocking is not good.
Here is a somewhat local to you machine shop that I have seen highly recommended on other boards for people in the Denver area.
Ridge Reamer Inc
Call them, tell them what you have and that you need a pan to intake rebuild - they should be able to give you a quote for a rebuild that would include all new "soft parts", valves, springs, bearings, pistons, lifters, timing chain, oil pump, etc, etc.
