Hey BES-383, will those covers clear the alternator or do you have to make adjustments?

Has anyone ever checked the LT1 valve covers from Racenet? They have some nice ones. I might be buying some of the flamed polished ones from them sometime. Maybe Christmas or something.

I have never used those valve covers before,so I can't say for sure. If you have to altar them it is no big deal.

I like those valve covers too, specifically the chrome version but its $200 and I dont think they're worth that. Someone on this board has the black valve covers that BES is talkin about and pictures of where he grinded on the alternator. Very minor modification and takes about 10 min to do. Dont remember who it was but you can use the search function and you should be able to find the post in minutes.

I have the Moroso's and I had to notch my alt cover a bit for clearance. No biggie.

Those will not work. They are not center bolt valve covers.

They'll work if he gets the adaptor brackets for centerbolt heads though.

I have the chromed aluminum version of the GMPP valvecovers. They cost me $177. There's pictures on my web page...The 2 in the upper left corner. Click on them for enlargements.
I had to file the back of my alternator a little to get them to fit, but not really a big deal, though.
