Lt1s with Port Pro Heads?

Just wondering how many LT1s are using PortPro heads?

Any Dyno, ET results?

What are you flowing?

Tony.

Re: Lt1s with Port Pro Heads?

Interesting you should ask....I was just up there today talking to Harold about different options for my motor and checking out his progress on a friend's 440 Mopar that's about to go into a '70 Cuda.
He had a set of LT1 heads sitting on the bench that flowed around 285 if I recall. I know he's gotten more out of them but I believe certain castings are much better than others for porting. Don't know which this was vs. some his others.
As far as dyno goes, I know he's produced several that were in the 400 - 450 rwhp range with stock / ported intakes and a few solid cam, single-plane motors that put down ridiculous numbers, but I don't know the owners or exact specs.
No doubt about it, Port Pros builds some fantastic motors and as soon as my stock starts doing a little better, I'll have one myself. Don't know if I'll post results though....I think Port Pros is one of the best kept secrets around and I'd personally like to keep it that way
BTW, are you Tony Shepherd? If so, I've seen some of your stuff up there and have been following your progress since the write up in GMHTP and the video on Harold's site.....very, very nice

Actually, I did.....it looked awesome, although I didn't get to see the interior or under the hood or anything. Just kinda walked around it and asked some general questions in the midst of a completely different conversation. Looked like a really fun car though.....is it yours?

Tony aka Fast93z has most of his work done through Port Pros. I had him do my throttle body and it turned out nice but the customer service was poor to say the least. All in all he does really good work and not too expensive either.

Re: Lt1s with Port Pro Heads?

Hey guys!!

Yea Port Pros definately is on top right now and finally people are noticing. As far as customer service he is awesome! Always returns emails and phone calls and has great tech info. Harold bends over backwards to help people out and goes above and beyond for his customers. And his employees are the same.

Casey SS...........thanks for following the progress on the car. It will hopefully now belong to the elite 8 second club.

God damnit Shepard, he thought I was you. That woulda been sweet until he asked for specs about the 9 second 93', then i would have been screwed.

Well at this point ive changed my motor setup from a Forged 355 to a 396ci and im thinkin the heads are going to be AFR 195cc or hand port my LT1 castings in town to save a little cash since i have college coming up.
