im not for sure... all i know as of now is that they ordered 40 of them... so... the guy im talkin to about it said that they are the LT4 longblocks w/out intake, but are built...

Do you got any part number,because if the engine is from GM it should normally have a GM part number

Yes i already know that.This part number is for a lt4 crate engine 330hp/340tq.I ve bought one this week

But is friend is supposed to have some lt4 long block from GM with over 400hp .Since i never saw gm produce a 400+hp lt4 long block i ask him if he got a part number for this engine.

If you look at other GM Performance Parts and GM Goodwrench websites, it indicate the 125xxxxx part number has been supeceded with an 88xxxx part number. I suspect that means whateverr you are buying is a "remanufactured" engine. I searched everywhere for an LT1 4-bolt main block in 1999, and they were no longer being manufactured. A few years ago, a GM dealer in Denver (Burt Chevrolet) found a supply of OEM 4-bolt main "marine" engines, and that is the last I heard of a factory engine being available.

if i am reading this right the cam specs on the lt4 motor is smaller then the lt4 hotcam so maybe the motor he can get is coming with a hotcam lt4.
