LT4 Conversion Help
Hey guys...ok heres my situation..i have a 94 Z28, with 92,000 on the clock..This is my second motor..and im thinking about saving my money and buying the GM LT4 conversion kit. I was wondering, cause like i wanted to rebuild my motor anyways, would this be a better way to go? i mean let me know what else i would need to make this a reliable street beast, and still be able to pass my emissions and so on. THANKS ALOT GUYS

The LT4 kit is over-priced (and dosen't live up to the promished power levels). There are much better combos for a lot less.
I would say short tubes headers (macs or slps are good ones), a cc305 can be made to pass emissions, and some good headers. If it's an auto, do 3.73s and a good torque converter and don't forget your traction
I plan on rebuilding my engine after college, so I want to get a 4-bolt LT1 block and bore it out .060 over with some real nice ported LT1 heads and a cc305. I'll refurbish my current engine and give it to my brother so he can build it up for his car (gonna buy an F-body in March).

This has nothing to do with your original question, but if you want a reliable car, that will pass emissions, and run pretty good for a street car check out:

Kinda of new design, and a bunch of people will say it won't work. I saw the LT1 car make 522 RWHP and 620 RWTQ, how that isn't working I'll never know.
