The Edelbrock offerings for the LT1 have been pathetic. Their heads flow little more than stock, their heads and cam packages are wimpy, so what makes you think the new LT1/LT4 intakes - which look just like a stock intake, but with possibly some part of the plenum volume reduced to make an "air gap" - are going to be any better?
Maybe I missed the point of your post.
This manifold has been discussed in numerous threads here over the past two months, so it gets a bit tiresome to see all the hype and no substance.

Re: LT4 Intake info
Talked to my contact at Edelbrock today. He specificaly said the two LT_ intakes are a go.
They are still in development.
Won't be available for " 2 to 4 months, maybe sooner ".
He told me to check back with him in 2-3 weeks for an update, since there are four development stages and the project could progress quickly if casting porosity quality checks out ok.
I also asked him about what happened to the old intake that was supposed to come out in 1998, he said that at that time it was very difficult to cast that intake so the project was dropped, BUT, now advances in casting technology will make it more feasible today.
He assured me this manifold is a go.
I will post up an update in 2-3 weeks.

Re: LT4 Intake info
The last time I talked to Edelbrock again, a couple of weeks ago, they still don't have it ready yet. Aug-Sep. was their best guess. No pricing either. So I welded, machined and ported my L99 intake. I had about 6 hours into porting it, about $75 to have it machined. Well worth it though, with my 48mm TB, and LE LT4 heads stock bottom end, I am trapping 4-5 mph higher in the eighth and proceeded to bust the tranny, motor, and torque arm mounts on the street! Definately making a bit more power.

Re: LT4 Intake info
Sorry for the late reply, but I spoke with my friend at Edelbrock and got a striaght answer:..................................
Production of the air gap LT1 and LT4 manifolds wont be until the year 2007 , the reason being that Edelbrock is working on other " higher priority projects ", by this I believe to be { potential cash producing projects other than LT1 or LT4 manifolds }.
There it is kids, short and sweet, I know there will be whinning and bitching but basic business economics dictate reasearch and development.
