LT4 swap

what would be involved to swap an actual 1996 LT4 into a 1994 A4 camaro? I spun a bearing and was looking for used motors when i found a complete running LT4 with low milage for cheap

I forgot about all the accesories on the front of the motor. I knew y f b bodies were all diff there. I was thinking just have a tune for rear 02 delete. And the vent for the opti would have to go somewhere. The accesories should just swap? thanks for the info guys

Why would you need to "tune" for the rear O2's. You should just use your stock 94 OBD-I PCM and not hook up the rear O2's, crank position sensor, etc. You can't use the C4 PCM.

so the stock pcm wont know its even a diff motor gotchya

I agree that he should use his existing PCM, but I'm pretty sure that he could use the 96 (C4) PCM if he wanted to.

People convert both directions between OBDI and OBDII. Ion offers both I->II and II->I conversions on his website.
