LTCC/Opti question

For those who installed the LTCC or Delteq did you do anything to the holes in the opti where the plug wires used to go?? I have had the LTCC for over a year now and mostly my car never sees the rain but the othe day I got caught in a major downpour and boy did it start to miss. I wondered later if the water was getting into the openings where I took the original plugwires off the opti? Anyone else deal with this??

Re: LTCC/Opti question

I just used some bypass plugs that you get at any automotive store.

Get some that are a tight fit and put some zip ties to make sure they stay on there good.

Re: LTCC/Opti question

I've been running my Opti with no plug wires or coil wire for 6 years.... no caps, no problems. Its not an LTCC, but that shouldn't make any difference.

Re: LTCC/Opti question

Ditto except for the 6 year part. I've had mine on for about 2.5 so far.

Re: LTCC/Opti question

I have never had a problem either unitl this past Monday when I got caught in a major deluge! It rained 2" in less than an hour. There were huge puddles everywhere. I hardly ever have it out in the rain but go caught this time. It sputtered and spit all the way home. Once it dried off it was OK but I wondered if it was because water got in the open plug holes on the opti.
