LTCC yes i searched! a different kind of ?

OK i have always feared my opti spark! that is the one major reason why i didn't go with lt1 but i didn't have the money at the time to get an ls1. i installed my lt1 and its been great so far. but i still have that fear on the back of my mind with the opti spark. i have gone thur two coils so far and the msd coil was the worst one i had so far! right now i am running a cheap *** coil i got from the local auto store. its been running good. but again i am still scared of my ign system.

I have done a ton of research on the LTCC. and i am scared to death of the wiring. Could someone show me from pics or something how they have there system wire. and where its plugged into? My setup is an 88 mazda rx7 with an lt1/t56. i am using a caprice wiring harness. so i am not sure if i can do it on that harness. please show me some pics of what you got please?

i have searched and i don't see many pics of there setup. thanks in advance

pink wire to coil , yellow to ignition (that might be backwards) then 12 volt and ground. ten run the wires for the coils and ground them. pretty simple.

This post somewhat pertains to the LTCC. I have never had the opti apart in my LT1 career. (10yrs now) I got the LTCC for my new engine that I am going to drop in soon.

What I want to know is what needs to come out of the opti, to only leave the necessary components in for the LTCC to function. I have heard of shattered rotors etc within the Opti and do not want to leave it in there, if I am going to be running something that does not need it.

I am just wanting to know what I need to take out I guess, and what to leave in. I figured this is my last chance to do it, and would be pissed if i had a malfunction due to not taking this precaution.

i took the rotor out of mine and used a metal washer to hold the disk in place. you will need shorter screws though. make sure you locktight them. if the disk comes loose you will end up with a mess.
