I have had two tunes from Madz28.com with dyno results.
Tune and dyno results
The last one after the cam swap was especially impressive in that the car started right after the cam swap, and gave the cam some decent street manners. I'm a satisfied customer.
Now I need an upgraded torque converter....

i installed the pcm and she cranked right up, ran beaaaautiful, i tested it a little bit but it was wet outside, so once its dry i will also rate it, so far, im reallllllly impressed. the difference was noteable from startup!

Re: MadZ/28 Tune: For those Running it...
I voted a 4:
My car runs really well overall. It makes great power for my set-up and feel great. It is a blast to drive, my air/fuel ratio is right on, and I still get 29 MPG on the highway. I do have a bit of a problem with cam surge at parking lot speeds though. I sent the PCM back to him and he was able to help a little, but it is still there. Overall I am happy, just the one cam surge complaint.

Wow, I didn't even notice this before. I am surprised to see several people that I did not do tuning for vote 1 or 2 on the poll.
One of these persons regularly called me from time to time for advice and never got any tuning and voted a 1. That's great. :blah:
I do appreciate the feedback though.

Re: MadZ/28 Tune: For those Running it...
Put down another 5 for me!!!
I had him do the OBD 1 Conversion after I did the headers and I couldn't be happier. The car runs great and I still get excellent gas mileage on the highway. (In town is a different story, but maybe thats because I can't keep my foot out of it, LOL) A friend of mine just got done putting a set of headers on his 95 LT1 and had a guy around town "tune" it with LT1 edit.
Basically the car runs like dog crap and is pig rich. He thinks it runs really good but maybe thats just the exhaust fumes getting to him. I haven't been able to have my car out for a while because of a failed clutch (Spec 3 going in on Thursday), but his car didn't feel nearly as strong as mine and we have all the same mods.

I voted 5. I have seen a huge return on the investment in Ion's tuning. I went the unlimited email route and load them myself. Very simple and quick. Ion is always there to answer questions and willing to resolve any issues that may come up.

I gave a 4- lol but after thinking a bit about it should have given a 5-
was thinking more as just a tune, didnt take in consideration it was a mailorder -
for the money and way she runs im extremely happy. had car dyno tuned and it was for most part dead on - just need a few minor tweaks, so good the shop actually asked who tuned it before.
for a mail order tune- i dont think you could get any better. and the service was amazing. payed a bit extra to have one shipped out before i sent my core in and it was at my place within a couple days. really helped me out.

You fill out the form with your "christmas wishlist" and paypal Ion.
He does the work and sends a PCM (computer) to you.
You swap them in the car, and then mail your old PCM back to Ion.
You get refunded a core charge.
This way there's no down time on the car.
Or you can mail yours first and make a comment of that on the order, and thereby skipping the core charge. Downtime of the car about a week depending on the method that you use to mail your PCM to Ion.
There are some other options but I'm not sure if you are ready or want to go that route at this time. For example, I just bought myself a second PCM to use...
