Re: MAF flow #'s

MAF flow numbers do give a fairly accurate # of RWHP if multiplied by 1.1. I find my setup to give, what I think is a significant increase in HP without the screen. This is a big argument on this board. I have a 215/224/112 cam with long tubes, stock heads, and the usual mods. Without the screen, I see 310 to 320 on my Scanmaster. With the screen it drops down to 290 to 300. This is consistent I might add, and at the same sea level and atmospheric conditions testing with and without the screen. Now I know somebody is going to jump in and say BS, but this is what I have seen on my car.
By the way, one of our moderators had the MAF flow with and without screen. The results are in this thread.

I know the purpose of the screen is to give a laminar flow reading across the whole of the opening, but I can not discard the resultes of my experiments.
