Hello I was wondering if anyone out there installed just the magnaflow muffler on their LT1 cars.I am looking to get cat number 14266 I don't want anything real loud just a little louder than stock. Can anyone tell me if it sounds good? I don't want a whole new catback even though I know there would be a good performance gain, just looking for a little more rumble Thanks.

I did it to my third gen for a while, it sounded sweet, quiet while driving and loud at WOT

i wanted something with the same stock sound but louder...and magnaflow definitely did it for me

im pretty sure you wont be disappointed

I have one. Youll like it. Its quiet at idle and crusing but you can hear it when you step on it.

I had one on stock piping when my car was stock, and it was fairly silent, but had a nice sound and you could definitely hear it at WOT.

I myself have just recently purchased a Magnaflow part 14266 muffler. It is definitely not a muffler that will attract attention, so long as you're not cruising around WOT all the time. It's great when cruising..nice and quite, until you step on it.

It defenately is louder than stock..especially at WOT... My buddy and I were cruising on the highway, he wanted to call his wife, and asked, "hey, think ya can turn down the exhaust a little bit"? It really sounds awesome when going under bridges....

Check out www.ls1sounds.com and look for it on an LT1. Keep in mind though that computer speakers don't do them justice.
