manley nextek valve springs

anyone run a nextek spring like the 221426-16. i know its a ls1 spring, but was looking for a double spring to run.

if so, did you have to modify the guides at all?

I don't understand the question. What "guide" are you referring to?

You can get seals with a thinner OD, if needed. The ID of the spring is 0.674". The teflon "positive stop" style most often used should work.

Are you referring to .530" valve stem seals vs. .570"? You will need to
have the tops of the valve guides machined to .530" if you want to use
smaller seals. Most of the dual valve springs out there have an inner
spring ID of .700" or so. Thats not much different than the .674" for
the Manleys. Maybe I'm not understanding what you are asking.

Have you seen these?:

They're the "beehive" version.

you mean like a thinner valve seal?

no run uses a double valve spring without machining around the seal?

I'm still not sure what you are asking. Most head porters will machine
the tops of the valve guides to .530" to provide more clearance. There
are lots of people out there running .700" ID inner springs with the .570"
valve stem seals. Are you asking if it's OK? You should always check the
clearance of the valve stem seal relative to the rest of you valvetrain
and see if it works.

i was looking to see if they are any double springs that fit on a stock head. the motor is assembled and in the car....we're pretty sure its floating the valves, and i really don't feel like pulling the heads of it again.
