march pulleys

I went to install my two piece march power pulleys on my 94 Z the alternator pulley doesnt fit. Is this a press fit??

I installed mine on my 97SS and it wasn't a press fit. Did require an impact wrench to get the nut off and back on, since the pulley would turn whenever I tried to undo the nut.

I can't remember, but isn't there a key holding the pulley in place? So when you say it doesn't fit, you may have to line it up very carefully and gently tap in on with a piece of wood and mallet. But then again, if the pulley is smaller than the shaft, it is obviously not going to fit no matter what.

My guess is, you just need to give it a bit of help.JMHO

I have the same pullies and mine went right on with an impact gun.

well i got the stock pulley off no problem I just cant get the new pulley to slide on far enough to start the threads. I will try pulling off the alternator and heping it on
