Meziere WP Fuse Keeps blowing...

I've got a Meziere WP that's been on the car for a while... probably about 7 years. Recently I've started having trouble with the inline fuse popping. It doesn't do it every time, but I don't drive the car much either.

Is this a sign that my WP is going bad?

I noticed that around the vent hole it looks like it's been getting really hot.

Thanks

I would give Meziere a call. IMHO the motor is going bad.

Probably is going bad. The motor may be laboring too hard and overloading the circuit.

Probably wouldn't hurt to give all the wiring a quick run-over to make sure there are no obvious faults.

I don't know if that pump is similar to the CDI? (I cant even remember what I had anymore) but my impeller used to back off the drive axel and jam on the pump housing blowing the fuse all the time.

If it's 7 years old, I would go ahead and replace it anyway. Not really worth the risk of having it die on you, when it only cost so little to replace.

I believe that Meizre will rebuild them for a modest cost.

I already checked the wiring and everything looks good.

Actually, the fuse blew and the temp went all the way to 260* before I noticed it. Could I have messed anything up?... I pulled over right away.

I've never heard that Meziere would rebuild them... I'll look into that.

Thanks

If you caught it immediately, chances are you should be okay. Next time around I would look into one of those alarm systems that triggers an audible device when the pump stops working.
