Re: Mildon Windage Tray and ARP Main Studs

i ordered the 400 Cid stud kit from summit and either i got the wrong kit or somethings up because the stock windage tray would not fit on it with stroker crank. even if i bent it to clearance the crank it wouldnt work. so i ended up welding studs into the windage tray nuts and tightening them down on the studs then using the windage tray and using another set of nuts on the then extended studs. worked fine. a lot of peeps probably wouldnt recommend it but i didnt have any issues and everything is done right so itll stay together.

Re: Mildon Windage Tray and ARP Main Studs

Well OK I got the Milodon Diamond Stripper windage tray to work with Milidon studs & the stock pan. I cut the 2 studs near the front end shorter by 1/4" and mashed the tray a little flat on that end also and it clears in the pan.

Hard part was cutting notches in the tray for the big splayed main caps. Clearance is about .100 min. Also, my dipstick tube had to be cut off and I made a guide on the tray above that splayed bolt. That barely fits, but ended up OK.

Only question is what to do with the hole in the back of the tray near the oil pump stud which is ARP and is too short to extend thru the hole in the tray. Does anybody have a stud that bolts the oil pump down and will also bolt to the Milodon tray?
