Minimum rpms?

Re: Minimum rpms?
Do you mean "what is the stock programming for the idle speed"? If so, with the engine fully warmed up, the A4 should idle at 550rpm in gear, and 650rpm in neutral. Remember, the stock tach will read 100-200rpm high.

I didn't know the HPP could alter the idle speed. Learn something new every day. Why do you feel you have to change the stock programming? Is there some problem with the idle? If not, leave it alone.

I wouldn't mess with the idle. Your car may suddenly die at stops and you may not be able to get it running again once warmed up.
Btw. anyone know if you can make a car sound lopey by lowering the idle (just curious, wouldnt do it)?

With a larger cam you will be able to hear the lope more with a lower idle. You won't even be able to hear the lope on the stock cam with a low idle unless you can somehow manage to keep it idling at 100 rpms.
