My 95 LT1 starts up good after five mins start slumbling on acceleration smelling like gas & boiled eggs little black smoke and then I pull it over it wont even idle good.Does anyone have a reason for this?And heres what bugs me after 30 mins she starts right up & does it all over again. sounds to me like it could be a clogged cat judging by the horrible smell. i doubt it is on a 95 if its the cat, but is the service engine soon light on?

 

Is your 95 a 49-state emissions car (one cat) or a CA emissions A4 with dual cats?

 

my car is doing the same thing, except my check engine light is on. I just got a new magnaflow cat also. mine is single cat.

 

Have you scanned for codes? EGR will mess everything up once the car warms up and under load. SES/Check Engine light will come on too.
