Mistakenly bounced off 6500 rev limiter....
I mistakenly bounced of my 6500rpm rev limiter today(first gear). It bounced a couple of times before I got it in to second.
I think I've got the valvetrain to keep it from hurting anything(1518 PAC springs, NSA CC 1.6 Pro Magnums, CC Magnum CCA-7608-16 Pushrods, and trickflow guideplates). I just hate that I hit it and "may" have damaged something(bent pushrod or valve).
I've got no unusual noises, idle seems fine, and power seems to be the same(will not know for certain until I get back to the track).
Anything I need to be concerned about or be on the lookout for? I was thinking on checking the pushrods, but figured I needed to get some experienced opinions before I start opening anything up.

Re: Mistakenly bounced off 6500 rev limiter....
I cant speak for some other guys but I take my stock bottom end to 6500 regularly at the track. I haven't spun any bearings or hurt it, yet anyways. If it has good oil pressure and sounds normal I bet it is alright.

Bouncing off the rev limiter isn't going to hurt anything, that's why it's there. Unless you are having issues now, a miss or flutter I wouldn't be concerned.

And......
[edit]
I bounce off the rev limiter at least once a week and no issues
Just drive it like ya stole it and stop worrying about it

I used to bounce the limiter at 7000 on the stock bottom end, pulled the motor apart thinking it would have scars and I found nothing. Good oil and oil pressure with the right parts and the stock bottom end can last pretty long.
