More new times with my 224/230 XE :)

Went to the track again tonight.. humidity was around 65% and temps were in the high 70's.

All my passes were in the 12.5x's, but my best pass was as follows:

1.773 60' 12.558 @ 107.69 (mph is a bit lower than last time, guess due to traction).. 1/8 was 7.998 @ 87.15

I'm very happy, this is with stock 3.23's and my baby 2800 Vigi converter

We'll see how better weather goes, and I also plan on 3.73s and upping my stall.

Very nice times I would say. What are your other motor mods to get it that fast? I would be interested in buying the 2800 Vigilante when you replace it, that's perfect for my car.

Let me know

You definately can cut a 1.7 & better with your car. Just slap some slicks on that bad boy & launch it at about 6000 RPMs'!! Then buy a 12 bolt...

Thanks Eddie.. I plan to go either 3200 or 3400 stall. Once I get those and the gears I'll be shooting for lower 12's.... then it will be pssst pssst.. spray time

Brian -> I'm not going to have to sell my converter as Vigilante will restall my current 2800 to whatever I need for free.. sorry dude Mods are: SLP CAI, Hooker LT's, Hooker catback, 224/230 XE, 1.6 CC RR's, cmotorsports valvesprings, vigilante 2800, BMR LCA's, and Hotchkis panhard rod.

Claude -> Times were on Nitto's...

I do run slicks (10.5" ET Streets) at the track. Best 60' I have pulled was a 1.86, but the car was trapping less then and I only ran a 12.6 @ 109. Now that the car has some decent mph, I can't get it to hook at all. I haven't been out to our 'good track' recently so that may be most of the problem. Track prep is a rarity at our tracks and my suspension is 100% bone stock. I've launched as high as 5000 rpm after a good 2nd gear burnout and the car just plain won't hook. I probably need some new tires (QTPs or ET Drags) and some suspension work to get it down into the low 12s and a 1.7X 60'.

Excellent

I've got a very similar setup to you except for an M6 (with a Street Twin, of course) and CMotorsports Stage 2 heads. Do you have any porting on yours?

Nice times man. I ran a new best of 8.05@86.52 tonight. It feels great dropping those times down doesn't it. I finally feel like some of the work paid off.
