Morel lifters??

Just ordered a set of Morel lifters for my new setup. What's everyone's opinion on them? Guy at Thunderracing said they disassemble them, clean the grease out, and reassemble with trans. fluid, then do not have any issues. Has anyone else done this? What's the point in this. I would think for $500 you wouldn't have to do this.

I don't know but on another thread Morel has just came out with a new lifter that is suppose to be good until 7200rpm. Not bad for a hydraulic cam. Will also work with a solid roller style cam but with limited spring pressure.

Well, I think he said it had something to do witht the tight tolerences. The grease that's in them doesn't allow them to bleed off correctly or something along those lines.

Morel's are the best you can buy for the application. It won't hurt to clean/re-soak them, but then again I've yet to hear of a Morel failure due to the 'factory' lubrication.
