Re: Motor mounts
yeah when you do the motor mounts... youre gonna have to drill out the rivets on each "clam shell" motor mount...takes less than 5 minutes to do em..... then you just stuff the new poly. motor mounts in there and get er done....

Re: Motor mounts
As usual you guys were right. I was under the car today replacing the LCAs and put a jack underneath the transmission and jacked it up a bit. The Transmission mount is seperated on one side. Is it important to use the same type of engine and transmission mounts? I figure i'll go with the energy suspension motor mounts and go with the GM trans mount because i don't want the extra added vibration.

Re: Motor mounts
This is an old post, but 3gc was my old user name. I got rid of my website and couldn't get my email anymore so i had to make a new user name. I've had the GM mount with the energy suspension engine mounts for about 10k miles yet, no signs of the trans mount going out. I wasn't pleased with the ES engine mounts though. The vibration wasn't bad but over the last year the mounts seem to have shrunk in the clamshell. They can actually move around in there. I'm going to put GM mounts in soon.

LOL.. I'm an avid search function user... I rarely post my own questions as if I search hard enough I can usually find the information I'm looking for. Then I can post any little tidbits that I can't find or figure out myself. Unfortunately that means I run across old posts and I'm too scatterbrained to realize it!!!
