mounting pro ratchet shifter

I am in the process of mounting my proratchet shifter and am wondering how other people have done theirs. Do you use a 6 speed shift plate, or do most people just hack up their a4 plate like i did , thanks in advance, prorac1

I have the B&M Pro Ratchet shifter, and I had to put a sheet of metal over the opening of where my M6 shifter fit thru the floor. Then bolted the Pro Ratchet directly to the floor. Used my stock M6 console, with the shifter handle through the stock M6 boot, and a small slit in the boot to allow the reverse lockout to poke through.

Shifter in M6 console

The boot has a "snap" on it (open in the picture) so I can take it off at the track and see the gear indicator.
