Mufflex y-pipe install...MAJOR RATTLE!

I know that some of you guys have this y-pipe and I was wondering how the heck do you get it to stop rattling....it's hitting the floor of the car and the brace that is under it......I took the brace off but it is still hitting the floor or something.....Thanks

Michael

I have good clearance all around mine.I bet yours is rubbing on the drivers side. You have to have the piece that goes into the flanged piece turned so it is going down I believe. If you look at it I am sure you know where I mean.

I know what you are talking about but how can you get that thing fixed....it is also hitting the bottom of the car in the valley where the drive shaft is...It is hitting the passenger side of the valley....the hotcam is making it worse because of the vibration that it sets off.....

You have to get under there and loosen everything up,get it lined up the way it needs to be and start tightening from the back of the car forward.I have at least a half inch clearance all around.Good luck.
