multi misfire/p300 code problem solved
I was getting the multi cylinder misfire code as has a lot of lt1 owners and did new plugs, wires, opti, and even new temp sensor, and turned out my problem was a blown egr and/or clogged fuel filter. changed those two things sunday night, and car is running like it did when i first got it 4 yrs ago. wohoo not saying that this is the problem for you other guys with the same code or misfire, but you might wannna check it. my egr sounded like a murraca and worked like a straw, (could blow through it easily) and the filter was pretty bad too. no probs since then and no ses light. Woot Woot!!!!

no i never threw an egr code, and hell yes i could FEEL and HEAR the misfire, my gas milage went from 305 miles a tank to just under 200 miles a tank, and the car ran like ****. It never once threw an egr code, only the p300 code. Like i said i did msd wires, ngk plugs, brand new opti and still no help, but after changing the fuel filter and the egr, which i did last sunday, my car has ran great, and no ses light since then either. it is worth the try to do both the filter and the egr since the filter is only like 10 bucks and the egr is 50 from autozone, vs new opti 200, new plugs and wires installed most places 400 for a total of at least 600 and if you let some shop do your opti then you are looking at even more. I did my own opti, but had a shop here in ft worth do the plugs and wires for 260. try it you never know, i had a lot of peeps say that it couldnt be my egr or filter that it had to be the pcm, but i did egr neways and that was the prob.
