Re: my 93z doesnt like me :'(
you really shouldn't have pissed off Fred. I would search through threads for other people having the codes you listed. maybe try apologizing to Fred. He knows his s**t. Around here, you have to try to list any and every problem and we can help you figure out what's relevant per what you are actually trying to fix. I may not know much myself, but the more i read and the more questions i ask around here, the more i learn. just try to make yourself seem more appreciative.

I called my friend and he just told me the low temp thermostat he put in he thought it wasn't working right and he took it back out. So the car doesn't have a thermostat in it.... That can't be god..

Look first at the code 36...that's an optispark code and it isn't necessarily a good thing to have. Look at the wire that connects from the harness on the passenger side of the intake manifold to the optispark itself. You're looking for loose connections, corrosion on the terminal pins or bent pins. If you have any doubt, replace the cable. If there isn't anything wrong with the cable, the opti is likely failing.....let's have other chime in.
Then I think you need to find a way to get a scanner to communicate with the PCM. The ALDL connector on 93 and 94 cars doesn't have power to it like later cars do...so you need a scanner with it's own power supply or one that plugs into the lighter.
What you're looking for is what the sensors are actually reading. That water temperature sensor in the water pump helps the PCM if it should lean out the fuel mixture or not. If it thinks the engine is cold, it will keep the mixture rich and the car will run like crap.
If the Throttle Position Sensor isn't right you'll have another host of problems there as well.
Good luck!

I was driving normal and all of a sudden the car starts spittin and sputterin,(sounded like rods a knockin)Backfireing,And I'm like wtf.drove some more(thinking bad gas)Acting like all the plug wires were crossed or something.Pulled over and shut her down.Waited a few minutes ,tried to start the car,and it wouldn't start, smelled gas.Threw the towel in,had it towed the mechanic.Map sensor.Hope this helps.

update! i put a new icm and coil in last night and it started right up no problem. didnt have to fiddle with the gas or nothin. drove like a dream all over the town for about 15 min and died.. and wouldnt start. the opti should be good and the msd wires are good. i still havent checked my fuel pressure but when it died i pushed my finger on the valve and gas shot out pretty hard so idk whats going on. any suggestions?

Re: my 93z doesnt like me :'(
the harness coming from the opti was a lil corroded i cleaned it out. i put the old tb back on it checked my fuel pressure and it was at 42. took it up the block and back. i sat and let it idle, i shut it off, started it and idled at 2k, shut it off, and started it idled at 1500, shut it off and wouldnt start. it would fire up but then quickly die. checked codes and 36 didnt come up. fuel pressure was then at 40 psi.im gona wait till tonight to see if the pressure goes back to 42 and will run again. thank you to all who helped me and gave me advise. i will keep updating
