what do you guys think about me racing this guy with a 92 5.0 mustang LX automatic running a 100 shot of nos against my camaro, i dont know my 1/4 mile times but i stay up with or somtimes beat a Ls-1 ss camaro's, i'm biding $500 against him, and i just sold my freakin nos dam it , so do you guys think i'll win or will i loose, need your guys advice
or should i buy a nos kit?

A stock fox body will usually run high 14's to mid 15's.

As long as he gets traction I think he's going nip you. You only have about .5-.9 on him as it is stock, and considering he's gotta 100shot and a weight advantage, he'll probably get ya.

I personally doubt that he is stock with nos. Most likely he has at least bolt-on's and maybe even gears etc. Not too many mustang guys running around are stock anymore, especially if he is willing to throw down 5 large. I'm guessing your gonna get an a** raping.

I agree, I never considered what other mods he may have. I dont know of one 5.0 around here that is stock. They all have CAI, headers, and catback at the very least. Like I said if he gets traction I think your done.

as I said earlier, buy a cheap nitrous kit. go ***** to the wall and put in a 150 jet, smoke him, then either break even, or sell it and get your 500 back...

I personally would not race him, a '92 Mustang with only gears, nitrous, and traction should go at least a low 13 in the quarter, and as it was already said how many just have that?

I don't know of many stock 5.0's out there period. My brother had a 92 gt that he just sold that I could not keep up with period. Most of them have at least a cai, intake, "e"cam, headers, x pipe, and full dual exhaust, and a gear at least 3.73. When my brother had that it was consistent low 12 sec, high 11 sec with good traction. When he got ported heads he was well in the low 11's. Old mustangs are fast as hell when they're modded...if not my lexus will beat a stock 5.0. However, if the guy is stock with a 100 shot (which I doubt he is for 500 bucks bet) then you may win, but if you want a good answer what do you have on your camaro...if it is stock then you are screwed...

He should be able to cut a low 13 with nos but like said before he needs traction also & for you it is crucial. I ran my basically stock 94 (13.9 run at 99 mph) against a similar stang with nos & open headers. I thought for sure he'd kill my butt. As it turned out I cut a .589 light and pulled on him 1/2 way down till he got traction but he still lost by 3 cars. He bogged off the line than broke his tires loose while I was on my way. He pulled a 15.1 @106 mph. That car should have at least been in the low 13's to hi 12's. if not better.
Get the NOS back.

these are my mods: ram air intake,headers,no cat ,flowmaster,stock3.23,msd ignition,airfoil,bypass mod,no screen on maf, 15,ooo miles on rebuilt engine,rebuilt tran with heavy duty torque converter and i thonk thats it in the other

i could beat a 2002 ws6 all the way untill about 85 mph he starts to take off and ends up beating me by 1 car length at quarter mile, and i am using regular tires not any type of high performance tire, but i will have some slicks by race time
