Unhappy My friend says i got a exahust leak...

well, ok it kinda hisses in tune with the egnine, i rev it up and the hissing speeds up and is shorter... this all started after i replaced 4 of my sparks and jammed my intake on a little better...

it started doing this hissing sound monday morning when i went to work, he didnt quite understand what it was monday after noon he said it almost sounds like a cylinders not firing, but its just hissing... doesnt have any power loss...

i did checked all the sparks sunday and had a full day project outa that... could this be related?

sunday car didnt move, saturday car was working great except for stumble which is not related im pretty sure.

Where is it hissing from? Maybe it's a vacuum leak.

if i had to place a spot with a sound, when im driving, it sounds like its right in front of the wheel... like the top corner of the drivers side under the hood...

would a leak make my legs hot sometimes? when sitting at a light or something?

The vacuum line to the brake booster is right there, maybe you have a leak there. I don't know why your legs would get hot from a leak though.

They are on the underneath side of the manifold. Hard to see from the top.

Dont know if this will help, but a possibility. My old intake, I noticed that when I was putting it on(this is the 1LE intake elbow)...the very bottom part that sits right ontop of where the thermostat is...well it would fold under. I got a new one(old was torn)..and it tried to do this too. I finally found a way to get it on there so the bottom of the rubber that you cant see doesnt fold up..leaking air out right before the TB. Take a look and see if its folded..an easy fix if it is that.

There is an easier way to check. Get some seafoam and pour some into your intake. Look for smoke coming out of anywhere but your tailpipes. If it comes out by your exhaust manifold, then you've found a leak. I wouldn't mess with those bolts unless you're absolutely sure your have a leak there.

It's a good way to clean out your intake anyway. So many people use it and it's perfectly safe. Do a search for seafoam. Just trying to offer you some suggestions. I used seafoam last week and I had good results.

Sorry if these suggestions are not helping.
