Stop being afraid of your cars.

Just take the two hoses off, flush water one way then the other, reconnect, top off the radiator, run it with bleeder screws open until fluid starts to flow out, close them up, drive it around like normal then let cool over night and refill it again in the morning. You will be fine. Good Luck....
Not afraid, just curious as to which two hoses your referring to. I see two hoses, ones rubber and ones metal, which I would take to mean a/c lines. And top and bottom dont work here, these two are side by side, but they are the only ones I can see in the firewall, didnt get much time to look though as it started snowing.

Ahhh, gotcha....there are four HVAC related hoses altogether that run into the firewall. Two for A/C, two for Heater. The two for the A/C run into a silver looking box. The two that are being referred to here are the ones that are further back. The ones for the A/C have to be removed with a wrench, the ones for the Heater have clamps that can be removed with a screwdriver. It a little hard for me to describe what the stock radiator lines and all look like since I have revamped my hoses. But good luck....

Yeah the two hoses I removed were farther back from the blower housing (or whatever). You'll need good light in there cause there is a 7mm screw holding the two hoses together. I'm going to bleed mine today.

nah, I just disconnected them and moved them outta the way. Make sure they are a kind of elevated though just in case so they won't spray any coolant anywhere.

It will drip a little. put some towels underneath if you are worried. Keep the ends up so no more dribbles out.

I haven't read all the how to's but I cut some tubing that I attached to the heater ports in the firewall (one long enough to reach the ground so water didn't go everywhere) and the other attached (I duct taped it) to a garden hose. Then I just turned the garden hose on a little, and watched all the junk come out of the other tube from the heater core.
