Re: My LE1 1/4 times ..

As far as the weight thing, my car weighted 3410, my dads 00 WS6 6-speed weight 3500LBS. We had the same amount of gas. My car has the same options, except leather and T-tops. This was at the same scale, at the same time. I had the spare and jack out, so thats 35lbs there, so 3445lbs vs 3500lbs. With an Iron block and automatic transmission my car was still 55 lbs lighter than an aluminum block Manual transmission LS1. LS1's aren't any lighter than LT1's despite what most people think.

Re: My LE1 1/4 times ..

hmm.. believe it or not, the 4L60e's are something like 40#'s lighter than the T56 (maybe they threw in the weight of the clutch assembly and flywheel for dramatic effect?) - can't remember where I saw it right now.. Think the 4th gen FAQ's or something. Additionally, the LS1 block itself is 53#'s lighter versus the LT1. Other than the brakes, the cars have pretty much the same of everything.. All suspension parts are interchangeable.

Seems like every GVWR, CW, and MVSW is different from every source though.

Wanna play the my car vs. this car thing... okay .. my car w/ out a spare and jack used to weigh 3400#'s - on a 1/4 tank of gas and no driver. Used to trap 116-117 w/ 390rwhp. (We won't talk about how it does now ) Compared to my friend's LS1... same basic car as mine - t-tops, M6... yadda yadda. Her car was 3340#'s. And trapped 113mph w/ 350rwhp .

Again though.. it's only 60#'s difference, at a maximum I'd figure. Bet on less considering the bigger brakes .

Re: My LE1 1/4 times ..

Apparently the magazines I read that said the LS1 cars were closer to 3300 lbs were written by communists aimed at destroying my mind.

Anyway, my previous car beats you all at 3870 lbs verified on a scale.

13.1 @ 110 mph
13.0 @ 109 mph
12.83 @ 109 mph
12.94 @ 109 mph

i was almost for sure that it would run like 12.0-12.3, butt it didn't...
i was thinking next thing would be 3:73 gears ( hopefully to get my 60 ft down to like 1.7 ) and a dyno tune. u guys think i could hit my goal then?
thanks

I would try to get the sixty down, and see how it runs.
My only pass in the 1/4 on motor was an 11.9 @115 with 1.66 sixty. I also have had lloyed retouch my heads as well as a Joe'O cam.

Good luck getting the sixty down
