My LT1 dyno results...Not too shabby, I think.

Just got back from the Superflo chassis dyno today. I made 3 runs with closed Borla (all thru the muffler) and three runs wide open Borla (full cutout).
I had slightly better results using full muffler.

My 1995 74K LT1 is near full bolt with the following mods:
AS&M cold air induction with K&N filter
Borla stainless steel adjustable catback
RK sport 1/34 mid length headers
Bullet muffler in place of catalytic converter
Elite spark plugs OVC wires
NGK iridium plugs
Trick flow elbow
52MM throttle body
Throttle body air diverter
Comp Cams 1.6 roller rockers
LT4 valve springs and retainers
March underdrive pulley w/ alt. pulley
4.10 Ring and pinion
1LE aluminum driveshaft
TB coolant bypass
160 degree t-stat
Madz28.com tune from Ion
LT4 knock module
I swear the Zaino helped too

The Superflo STP corrected numbers were:
301.5 RWHP @ 5400 RPM
326.7 RWTQ @ 4100 RPM

It is obvious from the results and the dark smoke that the A/F ratio is rich at 12-12.4
I might be losing some power here.

All in all I am very happy with the results.
What do you guys think I can get in the 1/4 mile?

Sounds like a fun ride. Get some track times! How do you like your 4.10s?

Congrats on the numbers. I think with those numbers you should run mid 13's with street tires. Put a tire on it and low 13's.

However, not trying to put a damper on things, but with a 6-speed I think your numbers are a bit low... I think that your mods should put you at around 315-325 rwhp. You still have the stock 10-bolt right? If you didn't have 1.6 RR I'd say your numbers are pretty close. It doesn't appear that you were on a dynojet though, so that could account for the lower numbers. The real test will be to see what it does at the track.

Hurry up and let us know what she does!

thats a strong running LT1, congradulations.

you should trap around 105-106. E.T. would depend on traction. maybe low 13s?

Yup I still have the stock 10 bolt rear.
This dyno was not a Dynojet, it was a Superflow.
I have not heard anything positive or negative about the this dyno. Maybe someone here can comment on it.

There was also a 2003 Z06 vette that put down 355 RWTQ, I did not catch the HP.

All the sheets I have are posted. The sheet states STP corrected.
Maybe someone can educate me on what all the numbers reall say.

It was my understanding that these were corrected numbers for temps, pressures & altitude.

I would say that would probably be pretty close, since he is running mid-length headers as opposed to the typical LT's could account for being a few HP off, as well as the A/F ratio. Lean it out a little bit and should gain a few more HP.

What would be the best way to lean it out some. Get a new tune from madz28.com?

Yeah lean it out to about 13:1 and you will see 10-15 rwhp.... Still pretty good numbers though. Looks like the 1.6rr's pushed ya over the edge

Oops... I didn't see he had mids. There is prolly about 5hp there and another 10 or so with the AF. With those two things that would put him right about where I would have expected.

wrd1972, 355 rwt is about right for a stock 03 Z06 with a tune so I imagine your numbers are pretty accurate. Also, I feel exactly the same way about my 4.11's as you do with your 4.10's. The car feels MUCH more alive. 5th gear is actually useable lol.

Numbers are pretty good. If you get it tuned, you might squeeze some more out of her. I had similar numbers when my car was a bolt-on car and I only had 96 dual cat slp shorties and full emissions! Best et I had was a 13.12 at 107 and change with a 1.9ish 60ft on bf goodrich drags. Gives you an idea what you're car is cappable of.
