Thsi post should be in the lounge or something like that. Or maybe even in the LS1 tech. But i can see why you did since you have a lt1. Sounds like you got a really good deal. How many miles does it have on it?

very nice...

I had the choice of getting a 98 Z for 8500 that had 90K miles on it... but i heard the LS1s dont like 100k+ mileage, but LT1s can take hell of a beat, so i went for the 97 TA instead

that also probably makes me the only person that chose a LT1 over a LS1

According to his sig he still has the LT1. But If you sold the LT1 for an LS1, then yes get out of here now, trader.

J/k Congrats on the new ride

No i chose the lt1 over the ls1 also. I payed $9,800 for mine. But it only had 50,000 on the clock and the body was in perfect condition, not 1 scratch or ding. I wanted a ls1 but the ones in the same price range had way more miles on it. Or were all beaten up. I'm happy with my lt1 anyways though.

Nope. I happened across a perfect condition 2002 LS1 6-speed hardtop yesterday in Alabama with only 4700 miles on it. It was a 6-speed too. The dealer was going to give me pay-off on my LT1 and sell the LS1 for $19K.
Truthfully, I'd rather have my 77000 mile 97Z with a couple dings in it. I'm comfortable tearing into my car. Not so tempted to rip into a solid aluminum engine with a plastic intake. Besides, I've already handed a couple stock LS1 a healthy dose of embarassment at the track or on the street (Now the modded ones can be another story ) But so can a modded late 80's 5.0 Mustang :blah:
Also, this really is a post for "the lounge".

Actually , I have never paid alot for any of my cars , I had a loaded formula , 94 , when i bought it it had 56k and was worth 14000 , I paid 10 thousand for it . I bought the camaro 2 years ago , paid 6k for it . That is a heck of a deal on a firehawk though
