mystery scrape

Every time I start the car and pull out I hear a funny noise (sounds like a tree branch/coat hanger caught up front but it's gotta be metal contacting something). However, this only occurs immediately after starting the car and pulling away in the first 5 feet. It's not loud or catastrophic but it is a subtle, yet noticeable, noise. After that the car never does it again no matter how far I tq the wheel right or left. It's made the noise backing up, pulling forward, right, left, and even going straight ahead after filling up with gas. I'm stumped on this one because of the fact that it only occurs after initial start up that I can tell. Anybody give me a nudge in the right direction on this one? I've had the car up on ramps and haven't been able to see anything noticeable that would obstruct movement of the tie-rods etc.

sounds to me like the abs module cycling the internal components to make sure everything is working correctly, it always does it within the first few feet of driving after starting it up

My 94 does it as well it's not loud but you can still tell, my 98 olds intrigue does it fairly loud where its always noticeable.

That's what it sounds like to me anyway

Yea, I tried listening to it a little closer yesterday and it definitely sounds like it's coming from the driver side of the front so your idea could be right. I've never had a problem with this on a car nor have I heard of others having this as a problem. Would the abs module be defective because of it?
