need brakes what do i buy
i need new brakes for my car and was thinking of gettign a set of brembo blank rotors and hawk pads from tire rack. and then i saw this set of brakes from ssbc http://www.stainlesssteelbrakes.com/...bird&year=1997
whats probally a better way to go the price comes real close to each other. the ssbc kit doesnt give much info ont he specs and typ of pads.
are there any problesm with any of the brake parts im looking at

Wow yeah that ssbc kit looks way overpriced for just pads and rotors. You need the spindle from a LS1 car, and then rotors and calipers. The calipers on the LS1 cars are a dual piston design. Plus GM did something to the ABS system in 98 too that made a huge difference (sensor or computer related). I've been thinking of doing the LS1 swap too because my brakes blow. The brakes on my 99 Formula were 100x better than my current 95. I think the rears are the same.

Hmmm serious hassels there with all that ls1 stuff... I have Powerstop cross drilled rotors all the way around with VGX pads, whole setup costs like 450 bucks to do if you do it yourself ( which i did) Next is RKsport stainless steel lines. My car now stops on a freakin dime. The brakes have saved my *** a few times now !!! I dont take my car to Laguna Seca so I dont think 20 inch brembos would pay off
