Need cam advice

Okay, so my long tube pacesetter headers are installed. Besides that, my car is stock except K&N CAI ( Not tuned.) I went and asked around at the shop and the guy working there told me to go with CC304 cam. (210 / 220, .500)

Anyone running this cam? I'm looking for something that has little roughness to it when the car is idling

^ Agreed. Look at the CC305 or CC503. The GM hot cam kit is smaller than than the one's listed, but hard to beat as far as what's included for the price.

unfortunately, a lot of people don't know how to tune big cams, so many people recomend going small.......boring!. I still say contact bret bauer and have a custom cam made....it's worth the extra 50-100 bucks it cost to make a cam versus buying a shelf cam.

You can make plenty of power with a small cam so don't let that deter you. If you
want a lope at idle you should consider the Hot cam. The CC305 is similar to the
Hot cam. If you want to go a tad more then you have the CC 503 and GM 846
which are about the same.

Before you buy, I would go with one of lloyd's or ai's cams, I wish I would have first. Hey wana buy a comp 305 with only 1,400 miles on it.

If I was going to run another off the shelf cam, but I wanted a small amount of lope, I would use the crane 227. Makes good power and is very stealthy

You can hear a cold idle for the 227 in my sig. I would not really call it a lope though.
And especially when it's warm, there really is not much to notice. It's a great cam
and I'm very pleased with it. If I wanted lope I would have put in a Hot cam.
