Need Feedback on AC Delco Opti
How many people in here are running the Delco replacement reman Optis? How has your luck been? I ask because mine might be bad (I will know more Monday), and am seriously considering scrapping the Opti setup for a TorqHead 24x arrangement.
Every replacement Opti I read about seems to have a ton of negative feedback, save for the Petris. I've been in contact with Petris, and they don't have any available for a 97 for the foreseeable future. Any thoughts are really appreciated...

Re: Need Feedback on AC Delco Opti
Need more info. Are you getting any codes? What year is your car? How old is the opti on your car? Have you opened it up and cleaned it out to verify its the problem? A cleaned delco opti will continue to work once serviced.

See post #7 in this thread. He is waiting for someone (Cadillac dealer where he works?) to tell him if the Opti is bad. Unclear if he did any diagnostic work himself.

Re: Need Feedback on AC Delco Opti
To update this, I got lucky...
After a Delco reman Opti we ordered arrived broken, I received an email from Petris that he had a cancelation and had one available. This was after we removed the original Opti and found it would only turn about 3/4 of a turn and wouldn't budge further. I assume something fell off inside of it, likely the rotor based on what I've read.
Petris overnighted me his only available pin drive Opti, and I've put 250 enjoyable miles on the car since Friday afternoon...
