Exclamation Need help deciphering an LT1 Engine Harness

Hi guys.

I purchased a wiring harness for an LT1 with an Auto tranny from a guy on here a couple years back, as I was gonna convert my M6 car to an auto for drag racing only. Well, plans changed, and I kept the car as a stick for daily driving pleasure. Now I have a harness that I cant seem to figure out what it will fit.

The guy I bought it from said it came from a 95 LT1, but he wasn't sure what platform: IE camaro/firebird, caprice, impala or vette.

I posted it for sale on here, and people are telling me it is not for the Fbody because it has a fuseblock atatched to the harness.

So, now can anyone tell me what it would fit?

Are the caprice harnesses different from the Impalas? I realize that the vette would be different from all of them.

Would there be identifiable numbers somewhere that could help me figure this out?

I researched a little bit on Ebay, and I found this is for the Vette:

No fuse block.

But, found this for the caprice/impala, and BINGO, fuse block!

So, what does everyone think? Am I on the right trail or not??

Looks like it could be for a Caprice or Impala. They had that brass terminal attatched to the fuse box like your picture shows. I had a 96 Caprice LT1 car and it had the same thing.

Yeah, the b-body cars have the fuse block attached.

GREAT! looks like I have a BBody harness. Now, the difference in 94 and 95 harnesses is that there is a pin in the number 6 spot in the D connector for the PCM. Since there are four connectors for the PCM and they are color-coordinated, what color is "D"?

D on an f-body is blue.

Cool. Ok, so how are the pins numbered? I cant seem to find that on here anywhere, or I am looking in the wrong locations.

Another member pm'ed me and gave me a diagram of the pin layout. Looks like I have a brown wire in the number 6 pin slot on the D pcm connector, making mine a 95.

I have been told the only difference between a 95 and 96 is that the 96 has 4 oxygen sensors, is that correct? So this one only works for 95 then, or is it backwards compatible with the 94's?

Shoebox has the 95 F-Body pinouts on his website. They are marked in red to show the changes in 96/97:

http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#1995_pcm_pinouts

In the OBD-II F-Bodys, they added the after-cat O2 sensors, the crank position sensor and the EVAP vacuum detection switch. And OBD-II serial data pin. The 96/97 F-Body PCM requires a different knock sensor than the 94/95 PCM.
